Notifications settings are located under the User Settings menu. This can be accessed by clicking your avatar at the top of the left navigation menu.
Notifications are sent to the email address listed at the top of the screen when the conditions listed are met. Click the check mark slider next to each condition to turn the notification on or off. Changes you make on this page are saved automatically.
FAQ: How can I limit the number of email notifications I’m getting?
You may find that you’re getting more emails that you need to keep you up to speed on events in Lanetix, so here are some tips on reducing that number.
Use Lanetix instead of email
You may not need to use email notifications at all! Lanetix is designed with a built-in notification system which helps you reduce your reliance on email altogether. Try turning all notifications off for a day or two. To check activity in your organization, just log in to Lanetix to see all your updated information and ongoing conversations. We think you’ll find that this is a better way to communicate with your team on your time and pace, without the constant distraction of and overwhelming email inbox.
Check overlapping events
There are several events which can send you notifications via email, and many of these can occur at or near the same time. If you’re getting multiple emails for one event, try turning off one or more notification conditions which may be redundant for your use case. For example, if a workflow is automatically launched when you’re the owner of the record, these two conditions would send you two emails. Turn one of them off, and you’ll still get one email when the event occurs.
Ask about Automation
If your organization has set up Automation on some records, you may be sent emails when conditions are met. Often these are sent to security groups that you are a member of, but don’t necessarily need the attention of the whole group for each event. Contact your administrator to ask about emails that are set up with record Automation and if you can potentially be removed from those groups or automated emails. It might help to add further conditions to the Automation which restrict the notified email recipients.
Sort your email inbox
Finally, a good solution may be to simply route the incoming emails to a dedicated folder in your email client. In GMail, you can create rules to route to folders. In MS Outlook, you can also send incoming mail to folders. With this set up, you can stay notified of all new activity in Lanetix, but don’t need to read all incoming messages. When there’s something new in the folder, just mark all messages as read, then log in to Lanetix to see what’s new. Your local IT administrator should be able to help you set up this option if needed.
The agenda is the home page of the app. To review your app profile settings, click the three lines in the upper left hand corner, this will take you to the Left-hand navigation bar. From here, click your avatar and review your name, mobile, and time zone.
Once you’ve made updates, click the green Save Settings button at the bottom of the screen.
