Using the BCC in your email
Winmore offers the ability to log activities via Email by using a special email address in the CC or BCC fields. This will need to be configured by the Winmore team, so if it's not already set up, please discuss this option with your Winmore Customer Success Manager.
Once the email address is set up, it can be used in the CC or BCC lines of an email to automatically log the email in the system as an Activity and attach it to the appropriate contact record.
In the email below, I am emailing Mary Smith with an email address of mary.smith@exampleco.com. Ms. Smith is already a contact in the Winmore system and this email address is listed in the Email field on that record.
I am blind copying the email address org-name+contact@inbox.lanetix.com. The email address you use will be specific to your instance of Winmore and will be distributed to you by your organization's internal Winmore administrator. Worry not, though this is a long email, after the first time you use it, your system will remember it, so you’ll only have to type the first few letters.
In order for the activity to be logged, the sender's email address must match the user's profile email address. This will ensure the sender has rights and access to log information in the system. Additionally, it will create an activity attached to the contact record in the system. The information in the email as well as any attachments will be logged. However, return responses will not be logged in the system.
Please note that the email may not link immediately and could take several minutes to appear.
