We are excited to introduce the Cross Bid Work-Board, a new feature designed to make the pricing process more efficient for users handling multiple tenders simultaneously.
Traditionally, users had to open each tender separately and complete pricing for their assigned lanes. It is quite common that users may be assigned similar lanes across different tenders; pricing these lanes together is far more efficient and quicker than opening each tender separately to price them individually.
With the Cross Bid Work-Board, users can now manage all their assigned lanes from one consolidated workspace, regardless of which tender they belong to.
Once the feature is enabled, users will be able to see “My Work-Boards” under Home > My Work Boards.
Here’s what it offers:
1. Lane Consolidation:
i. Automatically collects all lanes assigned to the logged-in user or to the team to which the user belongs.
ii. Ensures that the logged-in user sees only the lanes that are relevant to them.
2. Supported Functionalities: The Cross Bid Work-Board supports several similar functionalities to of Price Inspector table, such as:
i. Inline editing.
ii. Batch update (up to all lanes on the current page).
iii. Recompute formulas.
iv. Freeze pane for better data visibility.
v. Sorting (based on any one column).
3. Default Studio Filter:
i. Admins can set organisation-wide default filters at:
Studio > Record Builder > Pricing Template > Cross Bid Work-Boards
ii. These filters apply automatically when users land on the work-board page.
4. Custom Filters:
i. Users can apply their own filters to refine results.
ii. Frequently used filters can be saved for quick access in the future.
iii. Out-of-the-box, an explicit filter to allow users to switch between:
a. Lanes assigned directly to the user
b. Lanes assigned to the user’s team
c. All lanes (user + team)
An Export option has been introduced on the Cross Bid Work-board, allowing users to download their segment-level assignments in Excel format (.xlsx). This enhancement enables users to access and analyse assignment data outside the application.
NOTE:
The export function operates at the segment level:
If the user is viewing the Origin tab, only Origin assignments will be exported.
Similarly, when viewing the Main Freight or Destination tab, only the assignments from that segment are included in the export.
At least one lane/row must be present on the Work-board for the export to be available.
The exported file will always be generated in .xlsx format.
User will be able to rename the system-generated filename during the export.
Future Enhancement:
In upcoming releases, an Import option will also be introduced. This will allow users to upload their offline pricing updates back into the system, making the export functionality even more valuable and enabling a complete offline - online workflow.
