Summary:
The Cross-Bid Segment Work Board is a proposed capability designed to streamline the pricing workflows across multiple bids.
Instead of forcing users to navigate individual bids one by one, the workboard provides a unified view of all relevant origin, freight, and destination segments across active tenders where the user or their assigned team is responsible for pricing.
The solution is context-aware and automatically filters lanes based on user or team assignments, segment responsibility, lane status, and configurable default filters. It supports collaboration at scale by shifting from single-user assignments to team-based ownership, reflecting real-world operational models.
Feature Benefits:
The Cross-Bid Segment Work Board delivers the following benefits:
Improved efficiency: Users can manage all assigned segments across bids from a single screen.
Reduced manual effort: Automatic filtering removes the need to search for pending work.
Realistic workload distribution: Team-based assignments replace rigid single-user models.
Better collaboration: Multiple users can work in parallel with real-time updates and concurrency handling.
Higher data accuracy: Inline editing, validations, and real-time synchronization ensure pricing tables remain up to date.
Operational visibility: Built-in dashboards provide insights into lane status, tenders, customers, teams, and geographies.
Scalability: Configurable workboards allow adaptation across pricing modes (FCL, LCL, Air, Truck, etc.).
Feature Configuration:
Feature Flag Name: Enable Cross Bid Work-board
How to Enable: Contact your Winmore implementation representative to request activation.
Configure Work-Board Templates:
Go to: Studio > Record Builder > Pricing Template > Cross Bid Work-Boards
Define the work-board templates with the required fields, organized segment-wise.
Fields can be marked non editable - these fields are non editable from the workboard.
Define Default Filter (not mandatory):
User can define default filters here, which gets applied by default when any user navigates to cross bid workboard. Basically this is an organization level filter.
Functionality Details:
Once the configurations are enabled as mentioned above, users will be able to see a new option
“My Work-Boards” under Home > My Work Boards.
Here’s what it offers:
Lane Consolidation:
Automatically collects all lanes assigned to the logged-in user or to the team to which user belongs to
Ensures that the logged in user sees only the lanes that are relevant to them.
Supported Functionalities: The Cross Bid Work-Board supports several similar functionalities as of Price Inspector table, such as:
Inline editing.
Batch update (up to all lanes on the current page).
Re-compute formulas.
Export to excel.
Freeze pane for better data visibility.
Sorting (based on any one column).
Concurrent updates from multiple users simultaneously is handled gracefully, avatars are shown, refer below snippet:
Managing ad-hoc fields:
There is a default column available on the workboard to manage the ad-hoc fields. user can click on the ellipsis (3 dots) and then click review ad-hoc fields - opens a pop over to provide the values for ad-hoc fields of that particular tender to which the lane belongs to.
Custom Filters:
Users can apply their own filters to refine results.
Frequently used filters can be saved for quick access in the future.
Out-of-the-box an explicit filter to allow users to switch between:
Lanes assigned directly to the user.
Lanes assigned to the user’s team.
All lanes (user + team).
Additional Details:
- Only admin users can define the workboard templates and set the default filters as the set up is available under the Studio.
- User can create only one work-board template per segment.
- No additional set up or permission required for the users to view the workboard under the Home.
- Workboard export/import capability will be distinct from price inspector level export import. Meaning exporting an excel from workboard and uploading onto price inspector or vice versa is not allowed.
- Ad-hoc columns are excluded from exports.
- Within the workboard, lanes are always grouped by Tender and sorted by the latest updates.
Known Limitations:
- Ad-hoc fields cannot be managed in batch update as each tender will have it's own set of ad-hoc fields. And for the same reason ad-hoc columns are excluded from the exports.
- User cannot add Tender fields to the workboard template.
- Use can perform batch update only on page basis. Batch update across the pages in one shot is not supported as of now.
- Currently there is no,
- Import option.
- Execute business rules option.
