Hide columns in Price Inspector

Allow user the ability to hide columns in a price inspector they do not want to see. In the application users are now able to hide columns that they do not need. This reduces the amount of information a user needs to have on their screen and a given point. The user can either hide the column by clicking on the columns heading or they can use a modal that we've have created.

Generate Internal Template Preview

Currently in the application cannot produce and Internal Template file. We have enhanced the application to be able to produce an Internal Template file via the preview mechanism (similar to Shipper Preview). As part of this solution we allow the user to select the currency they want to see the values in. Users now have the ability to generate an Internal Template Preview at any time. Similar to the Shipper Preview users also now have the capability to generate that file in several different currency formats. This enable users to compare costs in a more efficient manner.

Improve Download File Naming 

Change the method in which Winmore names files being downloaded from price inspector, as well as allowing users to change the default. Currently in the application when a file is downloaded from Price Inspector we name the file based on the template record type name. This means it can be very challenging to associate a file in your download with a bid you are working on, since all the downloads are named the same. We have changed the download name to include a bid reference + the record type name allowing easier identification. We have also enable the user to name the file something completely different.

Reduce Sticky/Aggressive Hovers

Throughout the Winmore application we use several mouse-over indicators to help our user either understand the meaning for a field or being able to see truncated fields. In many places this mouse-overs can be sticky and cause usability concerns. We have address many of these so they don’t stick around as long.

Shipper Preview and Submission Progress Notification

Provide a more descriptive progress notification when creating a Shipper Submission file or a Shipper Preview File.

Currently in the application when the user selection Create Submission or Preview Shipper Spreadsheet the application will just gray out the selection and provide the user with no feedback on the progress. With this new progress notification users will now have a simple way to monitor the activities associated with these processes.

Price Inspector Download/Export Progress Notification

Provide a more descriptive progress notification when creating a download file from Price Inspector. Currently in the application when the user decides to export/download a file from Price Inspector the application will just have a spinning “saving” indicator and provide the user with no feedback on the progress. With this new progress notification users will now have a simple way to monitor the activities associated with these processes.

System improvement on Formulas

Re-design and optimization of code and infrastructure to compute formulas in the Price Inspector. A visible output will appear in the left navigation panel under 'Browse', last section 'Applications', a new button "Recompute Formulas".

Exporting Formulas during Price Inspector Downloading

The application will now download formulas that exist in the Winmore application. When the user now downloads a template from Price Inspector the system will convert the Winmore formula into a excel formula. This will allow users to see how their pricing changes are updating costs and calculation when working in excel. Here are the formulas and operations supported for export:

• Numeric operations: +, -, *, /, MOD, AVERAGE, MIN, MAX, ROUND
• Comparison operations: =, <>, >, >=, <, <=
• All the logical operations
• Text operations: TEXT, LEFT, RIGHT, CONCAT

This first phase of export formulas have some limitation:

1. This phase does not support Currency conversions or formula operands with dependency on related records

2. The export does not support formulas, syntaxes and operators outside the list mentioned in overview

3. Editing formulas in excel cannot be imported back in to PI table

4. Formula will not be downloaded if one or more formula operands are missing in the exported file. (Formulas that fail to download will be listed in the downloaded error file.)

Mapping Currency Options

Allow user the ability select how they want to associate a currency relationship during the mapping process.

In the application users are now able to either leave the selection ML has determined for the currency relationship or be able to select how they want the currency value to be mapped for a specific field. This is enable through a new user interface, which enables a user to point to any column that is recognized as a currency field or select any currency value (currently, the user is limited to what ML has selected).

Locking Currency Code Value

Allow user now have the ability to lock the currency code value for a given currency field.

In the application users can select to lock just the currency code, ensuring that their pricing users are not adjusting the currency code. This flexibility provides user with the ability to enter pricing values and not having to worry about augmenting codes.
